SOMEONE IS GOING TO COME

SOMEONE IS GOING TO COME is a psychological drama written by Jon Fosse, Norwegian author winner of the 2023 Nobel Prize for Literature „for his innovative plays and prose, that give voice to the silenced”, according to the Nobel Committee of the Royal Swedish Science Academy

The performance SOMEONE IS GOING TO COME is the most recent theatre production of ARCUB in collaboration with Grivița 53 Cultural Association, directed by Chris Simion-Mercurian and stars Ofelia Popii, three times UNITER winner and Ciprian Scurtea, actor at National Theatre

Written during the years ’92-’93, the dramatic text SOMEONE IS GOING TO COME ( Nokon kjem til å komme) is ,,about people who live inside projections, beings who lost themselves, but have created the hope of salvation through the other”, explains director of the play Chris Simion-Mercurian.

The premiere was attended by Norwegian actress Ellen Horn and by a delegation on behalf of Norwegian partner Ringebu Prestegard Foundation, also by officials, cultural, political and diplomatic personalities. “It is the best staging of this text I have seen and I saw over 50 versions. The project supports the Grivița 53 endeavour- the first theatre built together thanks to non refundable financing from SEE, 2014-2021 grants, through RO- CULTURA program.
